It is with pleasure we announce the partial opening of Queensway Optometric Centre as of June 3rd. We welcome you back for routine eye examinations and contact lens assessments, as well as fulfilling your spectacle and contacts lens needs. In addition, we will continue to provide assessments over the phone for those unable to come to the clinic.
We truly consider our team and patients like family, and as such we are taking extra precautions for everyone’s health and safety. This will make our office appear a little different, however, we are still here to provide you with the service you know and trust from us. We will take your temperature with a non-contact thermometer upon entry to the office. We have installed plexiglass shields at the reception desk, and have extra plastic guards on equipment being used in exam rooms and for measurements. Our normal sanitation protocols for equipment and frequent touchpoints have been increased. In the frame gallery, all frames will be sanitized before being returned to the display. Any of our team members that will be in contact with patients will be wearing a mask, and protective eyewear.
To allow for physical distancing we have significantly reduced our patient flow and will limit how many patients can be in the office at any given time.
We are taking the necessary steps for the safety and health of the community. Respectfully we will ask a few things from you as well: please wear your own face mask, come alone to your appointment unless assistance is required, sanitize your hands upon entering the office, and leave unnecessary belongings at home. Entrance to the office will be by appointment only, therefore we ask that you call us before you are admitted to the office.
If you are sick and have a fever, cough, or flu, have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, or have travelled out of Ontario in the last 14 days, we can rebook your visit to another day. If you have an urgent matter but are unable to come into our office please call our office for a telehealth consult which we are happy to continue to offer as a safe alternative.
The best way to care for our family of patients is to protect them. We hope everyone stays safe and healthy. Under our masks, we are smiling and happy to see you back in the office!
